[Unfortunately, an apparent glitch in the saved game during Session #005: 01 May 03, caused the Rescue Alisha quest in Nifft's journal to turn up as unfinished, even though it had been completed in this session. Therefore on 06 May 03 Session #006, fraz and Kris are forced to revert to an earlier saved game in order to replay the Alisha quest before thay are allowed to continue on with the Ancient Scrolls quest.]
[Nifft spawns in within the dungeon - a band of orcs immediately plugs him with arrows. Nifft retreats and arms his bow while Vilia quickly dispatches them.]

Maneta Dy'nesles: [Talk] I guess I don't have much choice, do I? First off, I should tell you why I originally came to Woodfork. I am a researcher and I'm looking for some scrolls that were in the possession of Melidor Carnen, a priest from my order. He secretly moved out to this area some 500 years ago. From what I can tell, the scrolls may lead to an ancient fortress containing powerful magic.
Maneta Dy'nesles: [Talk] Since coming here, I have learned he settled in Karna. It is possible that the scrolls are still there and I think that is what the orcs were after.
Maneta Dy'nesles: [Talk] I explored the area years ago and I found the basement of the old temple still intact, but the vault was sealed by three doors, each requiring a different key. Searching around, I managed to find one of the keys. I believe another is behind a magic trap in the temple that I could not get past. I have no idea where the third might be.
[kristinaboyer] Vilia Saathlynthrial: [Talk] Um, we found a key on the orc leader, might that be the third key?
Maneta Dy'nesles: [Talk] Yes, that is it! You found it...but how did the orcs get ahold of it? This pretty much confirms my suspicions. If you can go in and recover the scrolls, the church will pay each of you 10,000gp.

Maneta Dy'nesles: [Talk] To recover the final key, you will need to figure out a way past a magic trap, as I said. The trap is behind a magically sealed door in the old temple at Karna. When you get to the door, just speak the words, "The Shining One" out loud. This is Pelor's nickname.
